How do I install flash player on ubuntu 9.10?

Im trying to install the lateest version of Adobe Flash player to Ubuntu Via Synaptic package manger but when?

  • The Instillation begins to run and draws near to completion I am prompted to insert a disk labeled Ubuntu 10.4 LTS_Lucid Lynx_-Release Amd64 (20100816.1) I am running both windows Vista and Ubuntu and when Installing it I was never told to install a disk how do I fix this problem?

    That's odd. You can always install flash manually as well. Just search google for how to do it. It involves dropping the .so file into the plugins folder of the browser.

or you could get 10.10 which allows you to install flash with the installation and then you don't have to worry about it later. Just watch at the start for the option to install the closed source extras. Its just a checkbox.
