What is the difference between PC games in a box vs. jewel case?

Which is better for games geforce 8600gt 256mb ddr3 or 8600gt 512mb ddr3?

  • can someone please help..i'm trying to find a graphic card for my pc..i like Nvidia,i just can't seem to figure out how much of a difference it makes to buy a 256mb dd3 card vs 512mb ddr3..the 256mb card has a faster memory speed than the 512mb..which one is better for games like half life orange box?

    Both is okay they are both ddr3. They run faster than most ddr2 one. If i where you why dont buy a 8800gt one. I noe it is a bit more expensive but it is worthit. Even though it is a bit slow at running but it will work perfect. The only thing about 256mb one are that they can overclock.
