Getting my TV tuner working on UBuntu?

  • Heres the deal for the longest time I've been trying to get my tv tuner( Cable Tuner ATI wonder) running on my ubuntu, but i seem to zero luck.... Ive downloaded Me TV and it seems to not be reading the tuner....it says no tuner connected So im thinking it may be the drivers how would i get it to work

    I am about to do the same with a different tuner and probably with Kaffeine rather than MeTV The ubuntu forums is probably the best place to look Just remember to answer the "simple question" near the top left if it appears If you miss it nothing works - I missed it first time http://ubuntuforums.org/

I have the same problem as you, but my TV tuner is TBS 5980 CI TV box. I even asked the TBS technology department for help. the key point is that you should install the right driver and download the latest kernel for your TV tuner card. you might also check TBS'S official forum and you can find some cues for your problem.
