How can i open a downloaded form with "check box" in it, with what program?

My guess is that the person who created that document left it in "design mode". This will make the check boxes etc un-checkable. WHat you need to do is: 1. Open the doc in Word 2. Right click any of the toolbars and select "Control Toolbox" from the list 3. You'll get a new toolbar 4. The first icon on that new toolbar looks like a ruler and a set-square (triangle shape). 5, click that first button 6. you should now be able to select the check box.
