Internet is connected, but isnt working?

ok so here it is my computer is connected to the family wireless and the internet works fine on other computers but not on mine i can go on some website. like fanfiction.net, google(sometimes)and my limewire works but mozila and explorer and itunes dont work. it has been like this for nearly 3 months can anyone help me please i would really appreciate it!

Since there are other computers on the network, you may not be getting enough bandwidth to support those specific programs. Try disconnecting the other computers from the internet and see if that helps. You may also need to open certain ports. I can't really explain that to you, but I had to do it with my mac. When I first got a wireless router, my iChat would not log in, but the internet would work fine in the browser. After lots of frustration and searching the web, I found that I had to open certain ports in the router preferences to allow for the router to support iChat. Good luck!

if your MOZILA and explorer has been hacked by virus.maybe you can uninstall the two browsers and reinstall them.

right click the network icon down by the clock >open network connections. find the LAN connection icon and right click >properties >in the little window click on tcp protocol then click properties written just underneath it. select everything to auto.
