How To Text On Your Itouch For Free (3.0-2nd G)?

Hey so i was wondering is there aprogram which allows you to text, not just places like america or Britain, i mean like places in China, Hong Kong, or any other parts of asia. Cuase i really want to have this advantage. THanks

I think that the itouch comes with AIM, and you can use that to text for free, but you have to be connected to the internet in some way.
