Hotmail -> Gmail plz help?

Hi, I have an account with Hotmail, but I want to have all my emails from there sent 2 gmail straight away. I have tried to do this wiv pop3, but it is too slow, and I receive the email about 5 mins after it has arrived in hotmail. Will hotmail forwarding work? If so, how can I set it up for a gmail acc? Ty in advance {(:D)

i think that if you get a new gmail account it will ask if you want to transfer all your emails from another account into that one.
