How do I reset my laptop?

Mouse has died, i nneed to revive it!?

  • i have an emachines e625 laptop and i cannot move the cursor,i have done a factory reset, but the touch pad on the laptop does not do a dicky bird and is very frustrating. i plugged a usb mouse and was able to move the cursor, but when the usb mouse was removed the cursor would not move at all. can anyone tell me why this has happened and how i can fix it free, as i am totally broke and rely on my lap top to keep in touch with my 5 kids! please help!

    The touchpad is probably turned off. Go to the following link and view the .pdf file on page 4 and 5. It shows you where the button is that turns the touchpad on. It's at the top of the keyboard in the middle

i suggest downloading one of the 3 rescue files from http://restore-disk.com/restore/emachine/e625emachine/emachine-e625-mouse-drivers.html depending on your operating system
