Computer screen turning black and freezing?

  • Hello everyone, I'm using Windows Vista. Anyway, any time I do anything on my PC really, whether it be play a game, watch youtube videos anything the screen freezes or goes crazy, then shortly after it turns black. After about 5 seconds it comes back, and for example if I was watching a youtube video, everything just turns green. Also, on the lower right part of my computer where the clock is, a yellow triangle shaped sign with an exclamation point shows up. This has been happening to me for about 3 months now. I did a virus check, updates my video card drivers and it's still happening. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

    I'm 100% sure this is caused by your graphics driver. Download GPU-Z program and find out what graphics card you have.Then go to manufacturer's website,download the LATEST drivers(even if it's the same as you have right now) and reinstall a fresh copy. EDIT: If you have something called "Intel Optimus Technology" then consider reinstalling "hotkey" drivers as well.
