How to burn an image to dvd and make it to boot?

i have an image of win7 64 pro original (got from uni) and until now its just dosnt boot from the bios is there a good way to burn to the dvd so i can make it bootable - i have nero burning rom

Assuming you have a DVD burner, and the image is not corrupt. You could right click on the image file and select Open With... then select Nero from the list and click OK. Follow the instructions in Nero to burn the image. If this doesn't work, post some more information like; what OS your using to burn the image. Does the disk have anything at all written to it (you should be able to see the files in explorer and the written part of the disc will be slightly discolored)
Is the disc a .iso or .uif? If it is a .iso windows 7 will be able to burn it without any other software. I usually use poweriso if not. edit: Sorry that isn't a very common format. Try BwgBurn http://bwgburn.sourceforge.net/
