  You can text someone using your yahoo email. (it isn't like sending an email to their phone although you can do that too) Just log into your email and go to where your inbox is. I unfortunately don't remember where you go from there but it is set up like a facebook chat. My girl friend texts me from her computer(she doesn't have service at her house) so it makes it nice. The only thing is that i cannot text her first. She must text me because the number that shows up on her phone will be like 936-554
