PSP problems help?

I need some help; I have some major problems with my PSP-1000. HELP ME!?

• I have tons of problems with my PSP-1000 (The original fat version). I got for Christmas just this year, but I found out that it came out of a storage unit somewhere. Anyway... The analog controller makes me go in strange directions when I'm playing a game, the game sometimes pauses itself, the start button doesn't work, when I view a video it plays without pressing a button (or when I push the triangle button, as it's supposed to be it will display something on the side, but it plays the video automatically. If I browse for a game, and suddenly paused for a moment, it loads the game that I don't want to play, and I can't type things in because it just exits out). Is it worth fixing, or should I upgrade to the PSP-3000? Please and thanks.

  The PSP 3000 has many advantages (READ: a microphone and improved screen, reduced weight) The PSP 1000 model is great! Try to see if the system is official firmware or not, if it is custom, it may have a virus (It IS possible....trust me....) go to the system info setting to check your system version, and update to 6.20 if you do not need custom firmware....if it isn't take it into a shop to have it checked out.
