• I've tried to download Windows Live Messenger on my computer. and I've had an older version. and i've heard other people have had the same problem. whenever i open the thing to log in it says something like: a newer version is available. you must install a newer version to log in. i click yes and the download starts.then it goes through all that bs. and then @ the end its like 'couldn't install properly.' or something. So please if you know anything about this HELP. i called the help people and they were rude. Plus, Never ever get Windows Vista.It sucks

  completely uninstall the previous versions on your computer and try re-installing... if this doesn't work once it's installed go into properties and see if it works running in compatibility mode for XP or another OS btw, if you do a lot of multimedia then vista is excellent, as well for parents because of the great controls... the thing that sucks for me is that it's hell setting up security for a vista system, being in IT I would rather not mess with it, but for home use I love it p.s. -make sure it's allowed through your firewall as well
