How do I uninstall the AVG free anti virus 2011 toolbar?

I cant Uninstall avg from my computer?

  • I Cant uninstall AVG from my computer and I cant download anything at all. I was told I cant download anything because of the AVG. For instance if I try to download Google toolbar I end up getting a message saying googletoolbar installer_en32_signed.exe contained a virus and was deleted. I get a message like this everytime I try and download something. Can someone please help me. I use Internet explorer. I have IE firefox IE 32 and 64 bit but use the regular IE. My computer is a dell. When I click to uninstall avg in the control panel the little circle goes around for a few seconds then does nothing at all. I was told to try downloading a program to uninstall avg but it also says it contained a virus and was deleted. Can someone Please Please help me so I can download things and get rid of the AVg. Thanks.

    There are fake AVG's and fake AVG warnings. Did you download the correct one? it ca get confusing when searching on google for it, as one of the fake's is one of the top results.

You have almost certainly installed a fake. Go to Task Manager and try killing AVG. If it restarts itself, restart your computer in safe mode with networking and perform your downloads there.
