How can i make my pc faster and less lag?

Removing as much of the viruses and spyware as possible, also cleaning up the c: drive. I am using avira anti virus for first response, malwarebytes as a virus clean out, and experimenting with vista manager as a c: cleaner.

Download a scrubber tool like CC Cleaner. This will clean up your computer of cookies, temporary files and also files that we may not be aware that are there. Download a antivirus program and will remove and virus or spam. Go to My Computer, right click on you C drive, go to Properties, click on Disc cleanup and follow the directions. Then go back to the properties of your C drive and click on Tools and follow the directions for Defrag. after that click Control/Alt/Delete and click on Processes. This will show all the programs that are running. sometimes programs will be running in the background, but you won't know it. Like MS messenger and other things. If you are not sure what a program is, go to My Computer, and type in the process extention in the Search box and see what program it is. And if it is not a program you need running all the time, you will have to open this program and go to Settings and uncheck the box that tells this program to automattically open when the PC is turned on or restarted. Do all of this after you have cleaned your computer of your personal files that you don't need. Also if you have too much stuff on your pc, you may want to consider getting travel drives to store your data on. If your computer is too slow after doing all this you may want to buy more memory for your computer or have a specialist look at it. hope this helps!
