Sony Vegas Pro 9 Problem - PLEASE Help =)?
-
Hi Guys! I have a fully working version of Vegas Pro 9 on my Inspiron 1720 Dell Laptop. My operating System is Windows 7. Basically, im currently making a Teaser for a new Fantasy-Action Blockbuster thats being released in 2012. Im working in Hollywood and absolutely need to have this trailer finished by September 3rd, I am using video clips to make the Trailer by importing them into Vegas and editing as normal. A few months ago, my operating System was Windows Vista. When my Laptop became infected with a virus, I had it upgraded to Windows 7. Before I got the Laptop back, the guy who repaired it told me that "the Sony Vegas Project I was working on was still intact, but that Vegas wasn't reading the project media on my BlueSpirit2008 account (this was my User Account Name), and that the media was able to be read in another User Account, or basically, a Guest Account". So he left me instructions as to how to get Vegas to read the files again, the sorce files. I lost these instructions. To furtehr complicate maters, I renamed my BlueSpirit2008 User Account to BornTobeWiiild shortly after and i think this has screwed up Vegas' reading abilities even more. Basically, it is a simple simple problem and i just can't find out how to solve it: I have the files on an external Harddrive. They are there, intact and the computer is reading them on the External. I open Vegas - the project si THERE: All the timeline edit is ther,e the laterations, the crossfaeds and the shadows or outliens of where the clips should be. But for some reason: no clips. I am going insane here and need help. Does anyone out there know how I could possibly get Vegas to read my clips? Do i need to rename my user Account? i would do this, but it wont let me. Windows keeps saying "there is already an account with the username BlueSpirit2008" when i try to rename the account - so i am stuck. I just need Vegas to read the files like it did on my Vista system before I upgraded to Windows 7. The files are THERE on the external. The Project is intact in Vegas, just all media unreadable or offline. All i remember the IT repaid man telling me is something about "renaming a user account to match Vegas' memory". Can anyone help me? Thanks Guys =)
