How to save a game on a computer that erases on restart?

  • I want to install civilization 3 on a computer that I have access to. Problem is when the computer restarts it automatically deletes anything and returns to original factory settings. This I can not change. My question is not about putting the game on the computer, what I want to know is if there is anyway I can save the game data to something else. For example what I want to do is install the game then play it. When I'm done I want to save my progress on the game so when I want to play again after I install the game I can continue again where I left off. Is there anyway I can do this?

    yes, locate where the game saves the files, youll easily be able to find that by google searching "civilization 3 save game location" and then copy the files to a memory stick or something and restore them to that same location when you want to play :)

There is no way to do that. and it seems like you have Deep Freeze or some other program installed on your computer.

You can easily do this by saving your game data to an external source, for example a flash drive or external hard drive. Just plug in the external source before playing the game and tell your computer to save the game data to it and once you have finished playing the game close the game and remove the external device which you have saved the game data to.

It depends how big the game is. But for just saving game files you could use a flash drive. Just save it on your computer and check the file size. The cheapest flash drives are 128MB big. If you have an external harddrive you can put the civilization 3 on it, and just play off of it. That's what I do with World of Warcraft a 22G + program. I can play on any computer in seconds.
