Why can't I delete my history?

CANT DELETE BROWSING HISTORY!!?

  • ok so i have IE8 windows vista and whenever im done with the internet i always go to tools,internet options,browsing history and hit the delete button and a few little things popup saying deleting history deleting cookies,temp files..ok well lately when i do it nothing pops up anymore so i kinda wait and about 10 minutes later or just out of no where its start deleting my history and it'll do it about 3 times like its going crazy i dont know whats wrong and now when i want 2 delete my history it wont do it its like it'll do it all at the same time out of no where whats the deal??

    too quick with your mousey, when temp files are filled, windows takes more time doing anything. might try clean disk. most will delete anyway when you close the browser.

you could try ctrl+h and delete them that way - by clicking on them and pressing delete key

Hi, Yeah microsoft didnt release IE8 properly. dont worry i have the answer to your prayers lol So: 1)GO TO Control Panel\System and Maintenance 2)OPEN Modify Index Locations 3)SELECT Internet Explorer History 4)CLICK Advanced button 5)CLICK Restore To Default 6)RESTART your computer.
