How do I install a new webcam on my computer?

I want to install my old webcam into my computer but i lost the cd.?

  • how do i install my webcam without the cd? my webcam is Logitech code: E172391 im guessing that it is a QuickCam Pro 3000, looks exactly like it. please help:D

I have a 3 yr old pc running vista, and I have an 8 yr old logitech webcam, I lost the c/d for the webcam and decided to just plug it into the pc and let er rip, worked fine, no problems, you have nothing to lose by trying this.

throw the old camera away go to the store and purchase a new web cam bring it home and install it and forget you ever even thought of such a thing. Your anticipated cooperation is appreciated. The Savant
