What can I use an old computer for?

Can I use the files I have on a flash drive from my old computer (Windows XP) on my new computer (Windows 7)?

  • I play The Sims Life Stories on my computer and I had what's called Custom Content. Since I had alot of it and didn't want to lose it if I had a crash or something, I had a copy saved on two 8 gig flash drives. My old computer's monitor died...too expensive to fix, so I bought a new computer (Gateway NV53 with Windows 7). If I plug my flash drives into my new computer, will it be able to read them or do I have to do something else in order for them to work when I install them into my game?

  • Answer:

Shouldn't have to do anything just plug them in, wait until Windows says finished installing drivers for new device and poof. Read and write.
