If I copy Boot.ini, System.ini and Win.ini to a disc can that disc be used as a recovery disc for my computer?
-
I read online that you can recover a Windows XP installation by copying these three configuration files to a disc. Would this actually work?

Answer:
Between the two websites noted below I gathered enough info to create my own bootable installation XP Pro disk with SP2 on it. Creating a bootable disk is a viable option that might do what you want to accomplish. The nu2 website is the best info. FYI: Make sure you download "wnaspi32.dll" from this website. Good luck.
