How to modify PATH variable for X11 during log-in?

Can anyone help me understand this log entry/message?

  • I have tried to get an answer, but i think I have confused everyone including myself. So let me start from scratch I use Windows Vista OS 32 bit home premium with vista service pack 2 Use DSL, the DSL modem does NOT have a router. I do not have any router My computer is hooked to the internet, so as soon as I turn it on, it will go to the internet after the boot up process Ok, so when I turn on my computer and log in, in my Internet Worm Protection>Activity>Alert log, I get this message 6:45:27am This one time, user chose to "block" communications Local Address: All Local network Adapters(49155) Process name: C:\Windows\System32\lsass.exe I know what lsass.exe function is, and it shows in my task manager under show processes for all users. On my system the only instance of lsass.exe is in the correct path (C:\Windows\System32) so does this message mean: 1. The lsass.exe process was stopped from performing it's authentication function on all network adapters?(andif so what does that mean?) 2. Does it mean that lsass.exe process was blocked at 6:4527am, and then it tried again after that and was able to do its function? 3. Does it mean that lsass.exe dis its function and it BLOCKED all local network adapters? 4. Does it mean that lsass.exe process was not allowed to work and therefore no authentication functioning is going on? It is driving me crazy that I am not able to understand what that message is telling me

  • Answer:

Not sure what Internet Worm Protection is, but I've seen Mcaffee flag Lsass IPC (which was legit). Dont think I'd worry about it, unless you have other issues. try netstat -ano and make sure there are no rogue processes or network connections.
