How do i make internet explorer not start in full screen mode?

When i click internet explorer on my gateway desktop computer, the screen goes completely black?

  • my mom turned off the xomputer because she didnt want to "wear out the fan" so i turned it on this morning and i clicked on my user account and i got a picture all the way until i click internet explorer, after i click the internet explorer button the entire screen goes black if i look VERRRY closely you can barely make out a picture, but its still not enough to be able to see anything how do i fix this? t only happens when i click internet explorer then i have to restart my computer again to get back to my account home screen
