Rar is another new addition to the compressing industry. Like the alternative of zip files. Download the Winrar Archiver and the file shall work properly now. Extract and Enjoy! Cheers. Winrar is also compatible with the zip file.

Personally, I've found 7zip to be the best at decompressing RAR files. Good luck!
