Why can't I get a file to open?

OMFG help!!!!!! i cant get this file back!!!!!?

  • ok, so i just wrote like 7 pages of my book, and my computer suddenly went black, quitting microsoft word! i cant rewrite it, because i dont remember anything that i wrote! its really important! my computer went black like 5 times in a row and it was fine, but this time it went off and didnt go back on! usually when i re-open word, it has it saved as a recovery draft, even if i didnt save it. now it doesnt come up, all that opened was a blank page! helpppppp! i tried everything but i cant get it back!!!! PLEASE HELP ME HOW DO I GET IT BACK????!!!!

    if your computer was regulary crashing why werent your periodically saving?

You cannot, sorry. I hope however that this has taught you to save your work frequently.

I don know if you could use Undelete from TuneUp in this situation, but it is something to try.

save a lot or get a mac

If you saved at least once, Word might be able to recover some or most of the file. If you never saved it there's nothing to recover, since there's nothing on your hard drive. (When a program crashes, anything it had in RAM is lost.)
