Why does Windows Live Messenger sign me out?

Why won't my Windows Live Messenger let me sign in?

  • Hi everyone, I tried to sign onto Windows Live Messenger earlier today, and have been trying on and off all day, and it won't let me sign in.. Strangely, I can sign into my Hotmail, and also into web messenger. When I try it tells me: "Signing into Windows Live Mail failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." The error code is 8e5e05f6. Any help would be really appreciated!

Hi, What that message means is that you can't connect to the windows live messenger server. As your posting this question on the internet i'm presuming you have internet connectivity. As windows live messenger is a windows application, every time you try and connect to it it checks basic information for example the time and date to make sure they match with the information there end. So check your time and date make sure its correct. Windows messenger isnt down because im using it right now so try what I said :) Hope I helped
