Why won't my videos Import onto Windows Movie Maker?

Why wont it let me import videos off my micro sd card on to windows movie maker?

I have tried to import videos from my micro sd card but it wont let me it says: J:\Videos\My video clips\Video0086.mp4 could not be imported. Unspecified error I have installed the codec and tried to turn off the D.E.P but that doesnt work either my type of computer is windows vista. please help :/

HI. Will your "Windows Media player " play the movie files as movie maker and media player share the same codecs.? I have expanded the supported range of formats for media player and movie maker. http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_mega_codec/ I just need to make sure i use the "All files" search when importing normally unsupported formats. http://i55.tinypic.com/fms40x.jpg PS I would copy the files to computer before editing.
