Is a computer science degree any good for computer forensics?

Computer Forensics, Which path should I take? Help would be very appreciated!?

• hey guys, I just need some opinions, even facts would be nice. I currently am about to get my associates degree in computer repair. What I want to do is be a computer investigator, and go for computer forensics. Right now im thinking of what would be better. Either going for my bachelors degree specifically for computer forensics, then go for my masters in computer forensics, or take computer science for my b.a. then the forensics for my masters? Also, if anything, would there be something better to take rather than both of those for my b.a.? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated, I just want to take the best path and figure some outside yahoo answer knowledge couldn't hurt at all. thanks so much

  I am getting my Master's in Forensic Science right now and I promise you Computer Forensics is the best field you can choose right now. Get your B.S. in Computer Science then get your Master's in Computer Forensics you need the CS undergrad to understand the CF master's... I would look around to take the most challenging program you can get into for CS. It will pay off when your making 150K STARTING right out of college with a master's
