My computer wont start up and ive lost my windows xp setup disk what can i do?

  • i keep getting an error message every time i start up windows saying windows failed to start properly and a recent software or hardware change may have prevented it from starting up properly. but i have changed anything on my computer and every time i chose to start windows in safe mode it brings me back to that same error message. PLEASE HELP!!!!

  • Answer:

You need to do a clean windows install. That means you need to reinstall your copy of windows. If you have a computer such as a dell or hp ( any mainstream company ) then call them up and usually they give you another installation disc for free or for a low price. If you are a computer expert and have another computer that has the same version of xp on it then follow this tutorial http://www.howtohaven.com/system/createwindowssetupdisk.shtml If not, im sure the people from the company you bought your computer from will try to help
