I lag out of xbox live when someone calls my house how can i fix it?

Whenever someone calls my house i lag out while playing xbox live... My internet is qwest and so is my house phone and i dont know what to do to fix this problem. any ideas?

Do you have a filter on your phone line? When you pick up the phone line is there any buzzing? You could try making sure you have a filter, if you have one then try replacing it :) Is this ADSL?
