Should I study computer science or software engineering?

I am In 12th Std(science),I want to study Software engineering only and not hardware?what should I take?

Is it true that Computer Engineering contains only a part of software engineering and not the entire software engineering? does IT contain entire Software Engineering? and what is MCA ? does it come under software engineering? I know that this question contains a lot of questions but please help and be as precise as possible Thank you.

study comp sc then do m tech in comp sc then u can do phd but the thing is that....u only have to study yourself otherwise the degrees are not of any use

CSE and IT both have almost the same syllabus.CSE has 2-3 subjects more when compared to IT. MCA comes under post graduate education.It is done after the completion of under graduate degree like B.tec , B.sc computers ,etc

Depending on the degrees the school gives, Computer Science or (less common) Software Engineering. Computer Engineering is hardware, IT is using not designing.
