Burning flip videos to dvd help?

Putting videos from computer onto something, HELP!!!?

  • I really really am in desperate need of help here. I have lots of videos that I saved to "my videos" directly from my digital camera. They are videos of my little girls throughout the years. I know something could happen to my computer and the videos would be erased! I couldn't stand to have that happen, so I've tried putting them onto a DVD. I used IMGBURN that I downloaded from the net. After it's done burning it to the DVD, I try to play it back, and when it does it's all choppy and the sound is weird, and last time I tried it said it was a blank CD! Basically, I need help. What is the best thing or device for me to be saving these videos on? A DVD? I know they have those like things that plug into the USB port in the computer (forgot what they're called) but I heard those break easily and don't last long. I need something that's gonna last a long time. I'm really desperate here, and I don't know where else to go to get info on this. These videos are more important than money itself. Please help!!!

Yes, backup/burn to DVD disc is the better way, but you have to try another burner software, if you just want to burn these videos files to any DVD disc as backup(data disc), you can try RZ Free DVD Burner, it is freeware, it can directly burn any files or folders to any DVD Disc as data disc, you may have a try. But if you want to burn these videos to DVD that can be played well on DVD player, you need a better software, you can try RZ DVD Creator, work well, it can easy convert any videos to video DVD and burn to any dvd disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc.), etc, the burned video DVD can be played well on DVD player. you can yahoo or google search and download the RZ Free DVD Burner or RZ DVD Creator, both easy to use, hope them can help you.

You may refer to this step by step tutorial, it will guide through the process of burning music, video and files to DVD/CD, it's easy to understand and works pretty well for me. http://www.freedvdripper.net/how-to-burn-song-photo-data-video-to-dvd-cd-bluray.html Email me if you need further assistant or use http://www.bing.com to search for more information.

Use DVDFlick to burn them to a DVD. You can also make a menu (pretty simplistic, but better than none) so you can watch any single video you want. The program will convert them to vob files (which is what you need for a DVD player), make the menu and burn the disk. It's free and it's open source (meaning that there are thousands of eyes that have looked at it to make sure that there are no Trojans or other spyware hiding in it). http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdflick/ It's a bit slow, but you don't have to sit and watch it - just file it with video files (you'll probably need more than one DVD), make the menu, tell it to go and do something else.
