How can I put my computer back on its standard resolution?

Why do the colors on my computer screen mix up when I put the highest resolution on?

  • It's the only resolution that's widescreen and works on my TV, yet it gets purplish when I use it.

    ithink video card responsible about given resolutions therefor advice you to bought new version of video card to gain high resolutions e.g if your video card =256 mb like geforce 7200 you should replaced it with higher version like 9500 and soon.

screen resolutions can only go as high as the video card installed will let them and vice versa, otherwise ya gotta buy a better video card or a better monitor. I would have to know what the details/specs are for the graphics card and the display to tell ya which one is lacking. If it's not a big deal i reccomend leaving it at the resolution that it works good on. Human eye cant process anything above 1080x1920 anyways, we just see anything above as 1080
