How do I delete photos from "my photos?

How can i delete copies of my photos on my compuer a faster way?

  • I have years of photos on my computer, so thousands. All of my pictures have doubled, tripled and more! When i go "Start" " Search" " Pictures, music or videos" then " Pictures and photos" Then press search all of my photos on my computer come up on the screen. Yes there are thousands plus i have mutable copies of all of them, i dunno how or why this happened but that's not my concern, i just really want to get rid of them and organized. When all of my photos have searched and are all loaded on my screen i right click the background ( Not one of the photos ) " Arrange icons by ...." Then " Name". This puts all the copies of photos next to each other so i can delete the other copies. This is ok but is taking weeks. Is there an easier and faster way i can achieve having one copy of every photo?? Please help me i'm begging lol. Thank you for you time :) Lizzie xx

  • Answer:

Not really. must delete them one at the time, otherwise you will lose them all. You can make one folder and put one copy of each pics, for you to keep, and once done, do search. highlight the files, right click and click delete. Just ignore the new folder, since you know where the pics are. To be even safer, copy the pics you want to keep on an USB flash drive or ext. drive, delete the one from the HDD (start, search, picture, etc.. same process as I mentioned above. Once deleted, from you UBS flash or ext. HD, copy them in a folder
