How do i Fully Restore my Computer?

How can I restore my computer to factory settings without a disc?

  • My computer started acting real funny after I visited a photographer's website. It had flash on it, and all of a sudden my pc shut down, restarted and had those fake "My computer" window(s) and I jknew I probably had a virus. I've restored it to previous days, until yesterday when I got another fake my computer window that had popped up and a shortcut to "internet security" on my desktop. When I press F11 on startup (for recovery) it says "Windows Is Loading Files" and doesn't do anything else after hours and hours. Also, when I go to Start > None of my programs or shortcuts to control panel and My Computer show up. None, If I need to get to a file I have to search for the exact name.... I've tried to order a restore disc from HP but they claim my laptop is to old. I purchased in in September of 2010. How can I restore my computer to factory settings without a disc? or without the restore settings through System recovery working?

see if you can access the task manager and see if some of the programs that are running that your not familiar then go to service and try stopping it once you stop it try opening the file location and delete it. It's a little difficult if your not familiar but if something is consuming cpu at a high rate than that maybe the culprit. Make sure you don't end explorer,exe and dwn,exe. once you find the culprit uninstall whatever install itself run spyware malware removal programs then run registry fix like system mechanic Free version and go into your registry and look up whatever you found and delete the folder or keys carefully deleting registry keys has to be strictly associated with what you found. clear everything that is junk in your pc. keep us up to date on this I'm curious...
