Problem with toshiba netbook laptop, related to keyboard?
-
Hi there, I have a toshiba netbook that I am currently having problems with. I was eating cereals whilst watching something on the computer yesterday. a couple of drops of milk got onto the X & C keys. about 20 minutes after this my whole keyboard started going beserk. For example, id press some keys and nothing would happen then id press the F key once and millions and millions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ signs would appear. Also the computer is making beeping and crackling noises for no reason. I am unsure if this is because i spilt the small amount of milk on the laptop. In the past I have accidentally spilt a whole bottle of lemonade over my desktop and NOTHING has happened. I ran an Avast virus scan to check if this unusual activity was being caused by a virus but the scan found no infected files. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? If so, can you please notify me of what would be the best way to remedy it. Thanks in advance! x

Answer:
I've a friend who has toshiba who has same problem as yours, some of his juice was purred on his keyboard, he took it to a repair shop and I think this is the best suggestion, as there is nothing you can do, remove the keyboard or something. It took him only 3 days.

The problem is due to the milk. Milk contains water, and water is conductive. What has happened is that the milk has gotten into the keyboard circuitry and short-circuited some stuff. You could turn it off, take the battery out and let it dry, or you could take it to a computer repair shop for a keyboard replacement. I'm not sure if you're referring to a desktop computer or the top of a desk with "desktop", but if it's the latter, the reason that nothing happened is that the machine was built to deal with small amounts of liquid on the outside (plus it probably has those little rubber feet that keep it away from the actual surface of the desk). The keyboard is not outside the computer. The netbook wasn't designed to have liquids spilled in it. If you're referring to a desktop computer, the reason nothing happened was that desktops are more rugged than laptops. Long story short, your netbook is broken.
Think it has bird flu.
Do a system restore see if that helps. If not run your hair dryer over the keyboard that might dry it out.Make sure the net book is off if you try the hair dryer.good luck.
ROFLMAO you can avast just to see if your computer was alright? HAHAHAHAHAHA THIS HAS TO BE POSTED IN YAHOO LAUGHS!!!!
