How to download recursively with ftp library?

Files won't download from ftp?

  • I am trying to download some files from an ftp to backup, but not all of the files can get downloaded. Is there anyway to zip them up on the ftp then download the whole thing then I can upload it to another server and extract it again thanks

  • Answer:

If You have SSH access to the server, try opening a program like PuTTY and cding to the directory and using this: http://www.ubuntu-unleashed.com/2008/05/howto-create-split-rar-files-in-ubuntu.html
