Help with upgrading RAM and Graphics card please?

• Hi, I need the advice of someone here. Im currently planning to upgrade my computer-a better graphics card and add an additional 2gb of ram but im unclear of what i need to be aware of. I know the PSU is a factor but the rest im not sure and so far i found these two; Geforce gt 440 as my next graphics card and Kingston Technology 1GB 667MHz DDR2 for the ram.   here is your mobo. as for your memory it best to quote the memory markings you have at the moment you need pc2 667 or 800 mhz ie PC2-5300(667) PC2-6400(800) non-ecc with a certain Cas Latency(check your current chips) the one you quote is CL5 thats the cas latency value. most hp's and compaqs are just flexible enough to support two speeds and two cl values. eg CL5 or CL6 plus how many sticks you have fitted. your mobo takes 1gb or 2gb sticks in each socket, best fitted in pairs. fitting more than 4gb is a waste of time for XP or VISTA only W7 sees more than 3.5GB of ram. the video card will be fine if your power supply is ok.
