Why to use Google in-app billing?

Was I scammed and how would it be best to handle this?

  • Ok, I just signed up for this thing called google money tree or something like that. When I got a email from then, they said I was going to be charge 72 dollars every month if I use or not. Also, stating I was losing 3 three dollars as well I didn't know about. I signed up for 7 day free trail and found it fishy but thought it since it was google, it fine. Well, found out from their complaints it not even with google just using their names. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/google-treasure-chest-c152771.html#c281144 Here is the following of the what email said on terms and such. ~Terms and Conditions of 7 Day Trial: Monthly Service fees will commence 7 days from the date of this purchase, and will be billed monthly thereafter. After the 7 day trial you will be billed $69.90 USD monthly for the continued access to the software. No refunds will be given for failure to use the requested and provided services. We reserve the right to transfer your billing to a third party Merchant of Record. This authority will remain in effect until revoked by me. You may cancel at anytime by writing to GoogleATM, 4240 West Flamingo Rd. Suite #201, Las Vegas, NV 89103 or calling 1-800-497-4988 (International customers please call 1-866-321-2728).~ So, can anyone tell me on what to do here from step by step?

  • Answer:

If you used a credit card, call your credit card company immediately, cancel the charge and refuse all future charges.

It is probably a a scam. This is a common phishing technique, phishing is when someone makes a sight designed to look like a more popular sight so that they will enter their credit card information into it. I do not think that it is google because google's money making service is called adsense. Also in the terms and conditions it nowhere states anything about YOU making money just them. It is a scam.

Call the number, cancel your trial and have any money they have taken refunded. If they do not comply, file a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau)
