PLEASE HELP! Accidentally deleted all of my pictures off my computer?
-
So I accidentally copied my pictures into my videos. I deleted all of the pictures in my video thinking it would only delete the ones in video. WELL, it ended up deleting all of them. So I went to the recycle bin and hit restore all. They disappeared from the recycling bin but they weren't in My Pictures. Then I restored my computer because I was told that it would give me my pictures back. It didn't. I have tried many photo recovery programs and I keep getting only a fraction of the pictures I had. All the reset come up as "Invalid Images". Is there any way for me to get my photos back? There are like 1500 and they are really important to me! PLEASE HELP and thanks in advance (:

download smart data recovery this will recover all the files you delete it and not only photos it can be documents, videos, music, etc.
I know you said that they're not in the pictures folder, but have you checked in the video folder? When you restore from recycle bin, it sends them back to where they came from. So, check the folder where you saw them last.
When you delete files they go to the recycle bin. When you restore them they go back to the place from which you deleted them. You deleted them from the Videos folder, and that is where they should be now. Doing a restore under Windows shouldn't affect contents of documents, videos or photograph folders, so they should still be in the Videos folder.
You've tried the most affordable methods...using 3rd part software. Some work better than others of course. Try not to mess with your hard drive too much, meaning don't make a bunch of changes (format, reload folders etc... ). A while back I tried this and it gave me decent results. I actually removed my drive and plugged it into a external USB case and read it on a second PC. Hope this helps http://download.cnet.com/Data-Recovery/3000-2094_4-10664894.html?tag=lst-6 or this http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec If you feel uneasy about using these programs, ask a techie neighbor...don't be shy. Your final option would probably be to take it to tech support. Good luck. I feel your pain :(
Take the computer to best buy and they should get all the pictures back. :)
