Dvd-r and dvd-rw??? whats the difference?

the only difference between the dvd-r and dvd-rw is the latter is rewritable and erasable.it may be that the dvd-r you bought are defective. if you still have unburned dvd-rs, you can return them for replacement.

dvd-r only write once, dvd-rw can be rewriteable. Both dvd-r and dvd-rw should be well for dvd player, maybe your dvd-r disc is bad quality and brand, and your dvd player can't recognize it, you can try verbatim dvd-r disc, I think verbatim is good brand. DVD-R can only be written on by your DVD ROM once. But a DVD-RW can actually delete information off of itself and copy new information onto it. It works just like a hard drive in a computer works.
