Are there any free movie making programs similar to Windows Movie Maker?

Familiar With Windows Movie Maker?

• I was trying to save a video to my computer from Windows Movie Maker, but when I do, it tells me that I am unable to save the video. This is the message that appears: "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again". I know the problem is not the saving location, or disk space. I have already tried saving it to a CD-R, and the same message appears. I haven't deleted or moved any files used in the video, so none of the links should be broken. I'm usually ok with computers, and can figure stuff out, but ths has really got me stumped. I just can't figure it out. If you have had any problems like this with the Movie Maker, please let me know if you fixed it. Also, if anyone knows any other movie making programs similar to Windows Movie Maker that you would recommend, let me know. Thank You so much!

  Have you tried both save and save as? If not give that a go. If you have finished the clips you could also try the publish movie option, even though its saving it shouldn't be too much of a problem since saving it as a different format. Other than that i think im also stumped. I think movie maker is the easiest piece of software to use so i would stick with it, you can get plug-ins for the software to allow it to do more features, but would say they are necessary since i've never really needed them.
