How do wireless computer speakers work?

My speakers build in, in my computer won't work i don't know how to make them work?

My bro just went to college and he took his speakers that you plug in with him and the computer has speakers build in but i don't know how to make them work every time i go to control panel and sound and it shows like 3 options: digital out put device, speakers and headphnoes and only digital out put device is green adn the rest are red saying not plugged in where do i go to put it back to normal set up so that it plays sound from the computer nto from speekers??

  Hmm. You might try disabling the digital out and see if the others activate. Also check the drivers, you may an update for that sound card/on board device. That's what came into my so-called mind, hope it helps! Don't know what OS you have, but clicking "Properties" on the sound page should take you to the driver page where you can check 'em.. (In case you didn't already know)...
