My computer is so slow. What can I do to make it faster?

Why is my computer slow? how can i make it faster?

  • i have a laptop,bought 4 years old.2 years ago i got a new hardrive free from hp,but now its running slow alot.i run disk cleanup,defrag and cc cleaner almost daily but for some reason my computer is still slow.so is my browser google chrome.i have plenty of memory space and check for viruses too,but nothing still slow. so anyone have any ideas why its slow and how i can make it faster? what about google chrome,why is that slow?

    To make your computer faster, defragment the hard disk and your registry. Open Disk Defragmenter. Click Start, type "Disk Defragmenter" in the Search box and press ENTER. Install and launch Reginout services optimizer; and stop the unnecessary programs running in the background. After doing so, defragment your registry.

Install windows 7 on it. That or ubuntu.

1.The possible problem.. the hard drive not seated properly.. just reset the hard drive to drive slot. 2.Please check the status of your CPU and Memory in performance tab at Task manager. . 3.Virus issues.. try to install another antivirus software... try it man...

There could be so many reasons reflecting your computers performance. Cleaning temporary files & folder wont help you in getting desired results. Before i proceed further could you please give me your system's specifications in order to help you out. Bye

Hm. What are your specs? I thought it would be a virus but maybe I was wrong...what virus program do you have? Google chrome isn't slow, my desktop has one GB of memory and a whole bunch of programs on it and its still not slow. You can try opera web browser. Its very fast. Also, is your internet slow? Maybe that could be one of the problems

You've already done a defrag, CCleaner, Disk Cleanup. Those should have fixed the problem. How long has it been since your last reinstall? A computer need to be refreshed at least once a year to get rid of junk that utilities can't remove. It looks like you need a fresh install of the OS, drivers and applications.

I have no idea. Have you re-installed Windows? I use Ubuntu (Linux) it is free and fast. You can install it along side Windows via dual boot. This way you can see if you like Ubuntu it is very similar to Windows. If you like playing games avoid it, if you surf the web and stuff maybe you should consider it. Anyway I hope you find a solution. Peace.

Check your system startup and shut down some of the programmes that are not needed clear your internet cache try a program called tuneup utilities 2010 also try malware bytes to check for adware that maybe slowing down your pc

format the computer and install all the motherboard's driver properly. if it does not work, think it is the time to replace your device.
