My webcam isn't working? HELP PLEASE???

I have recently gotten a used HP Pavillion dv6000 (vista) that once belonged to one of my dad's friends, and he gave it to me for Christmas. I try to use the webcam, and I search it in the "Menu" and it shows up as "WEBCAM" and then it says" "Windows Script Host Script: C:\System.sav\util\WEBCAM.VBS Line: 2 Char: 1 Error: Invalid root in registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentCont… BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\0… Code: 80070005 Source: WshShell.RegWrite" It is no longer under warrenty, actually since 2008.....I hate this computer and I'm trying to live with it, but I can't use the webcam. Help PLEASE?

Try uninstalling the webcam software, then re-install it
