Windows Media Player Won't Play,I Erased The Program By Mistake,Can Anyone Help Me?
-
I erased a progam by mistake, now my windows media dvd player wont play.It says the "player cannot play file. The player might not support the file type or might not support the CODEC that was used to compress the file".I actually think I erased the whole program,I can hear player running, but nothing ever pops up,and eventually quits. Can I redownload the player program off the internet, and what program do I need?I downloaded VLC,and this is the message I got when I tried to use it to play a dvd.....Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'vcd://'. Check the log for details.

Answer:
Try going to system restore and setting a time before you erased it. Might work. Worth and try.
