What is HQ sound and what does it do?

Hq player? mpc and vlc both lag.?

• well, ive recently downloaded some rather HQ files. problem is, my computer is probably too old to play such HQ so it made MPC lag. The sound and video would not sync at all. Then i tried VLC. though it synced fine, at certain points in the video the screen would pixelize because i guess it was too much to handle, and lag. either way, i could not watch the videos. im wondering if there are hq players out there (free) that anyone would recommend for this dilemma. or maybe, steps i could take and things i could download to fix this. also, would having more ram help? er, im not sure what info you guys need to figure this out so please email me if you are willing to help: [email protected]

  Are you using a Single Core Processor? If you are then you might want to think about buying a Dual Core instead as that would be able to process the HQ files much better than your current one.
