Why do I keep getting this error message on my computer?

How do i format my computer. keep getting error message windows cannot format this drive?

  • error message when trying to format my D drive. Cannot access any of my documents without an error message popping out. cannot log on the internet as well

  • Answer:

    ...somewhere you should have the ability to get to the DOS screen... it will come up like a School room "blackboard" ...on the DOS screen, type in D:/ then type in format D: (and hit enter)... that should completely format the drive...but be aware, everything on D: will be GONE ! ...bye, bye !

download a format boot cd, located at: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ free, and really helps, it will wipe out your computer in no time(1-2 HRS ;). hope that helped, --Nick
