I know the reason why you can't play your burned dvd on any DVD player, because you just burned a data dvd with windows movie maker(directly burn your video files on dvd disc without convert to right format), so you can't play it on any DVD player, you should note, most DVD players only recognize standard video DVD well, so if you want to play the burned dvd on your DVD player, you need to use a right software to convert and burn your video files to a standard video DVD, I think you can follow me to use RZ DVD Creator, it can convert any video files to standard video dvd and burn to any dvd disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), and you can play the burned standard video DVD well on your DVD player. You can yahoo or google search RZ DVD Creator and download it, hope it can help you.

Some DVD players don't allow you to use Burnt DVD's, I would look for a DivX logo on a DVD player because they almost always play burnt dvd's. Also depending on what authoring software you are using as well might make a difference.

It is quite possible you have a made a data disc and not a dvd you will have to select dvd video in the burn to disc options

DVD format is VOB. It contains two folders Video_TS and Audio_TS, you have to convert your video to DVD compatible video at first, otherwise regular DVD player can not read and play it.
