How to reinstall windows vista, hard disk formatting and repartition them.?

All I have is my original vista home premium dvd, i have a 2 hdd raid setup, and 1 of them gave a critical error, everything became slow, so i decided to reboot, and then it wouldn't boot up windows anymore. now i want to format my drives, use them separately to find out which one has possibly crashed, then partition the healthy one and reinstall windows vista on it. please help me!

To reformat, you need to enter the BIOS setup and tell the computer to first boot from disk instead of the normal boot from hard drive. Then restart and insert your disk and it will run the installation CD and load everything. At this time you may choose which if any hard drive you want to reformat.
